As much as one may hope and wish that every moment is one of wonder and joy… some days are just days that time did its thing and moved on.
Only in retrospect can one understand that all days are special and with 20 20 vision appreciate that ordinary moments…  many will wish for and some with never have again.
Each day is worth the simple celebration for being a part of it.
You start to text on your mobile phone… you start to read ETCetera; next thing you know… new phone… new typewriter…
… the lid had been put on wrong and prevented all movement of the keys. Bend the arms where they should have been… the lid above the keys and a working typewriter goes thudding along…
At the keyboard of this 1956 Underwood… I decided that tomorrow I would strive for nice. The keys just lead me to such thoughts. Each time I sit down at this machine I strive for nice and now it inspires goodwill with a single touch. I have trained it for nice type… nice moods and goodwill thinking.
Second day with the Fox 24… its quirks are a challenge but fun.
I will do it right one day… for now rubber bands, tape and glue get this 102 year old sly fox typing and looking good.
Made some minor improvements… but the pleasure in using this 1926 Orga just grows and grows.
The Smith Premier 10 is fun… you just type the size that matches the top of the key. No shifting needed.
I raised the height on the Demountable 1/2 inch (by adjusting the feet) and for the 1st time I used the spacebar on a entire page without issue.
