As I type on this 1927 Smith Premier 30 the world seems nicer and my mood improves. Even as it stalls and stops… I relax and smile. I’ve got my typewriter fix and I feel good.

The Remington Travel-Riter is a pleasant machine to type on and to travel with. Great results in a small lightweight package.
Thinking of the Royal 10… its a 10
Sometimes the public buys for the right reason… the Royal 10 is a wonderful, well built machine. Not rare or uncommon but good! (GREAT!!)
Good design overcomes poor packing (1926 Orga)
It works…. so why complain about what was not done. Marked “fragile” and “handle with care” and someone must have. In the end the only thing that matters is I got it to function.
The future still to be typed…
The first 25 years of my existence there was this Underwood… and when I use one similar to it memories rush in. It’s nice to visit the golden days but the future is yet to be typed.
Getting the type out of a 1939 Bar-lock Portable
So far this has not improved with use… but my enjoyment of its quirks does grow.

I never thought a two tone black/white typewriter would look so beautiful. This 1955 Underwood Quiet Tab Deluxe is ready for any party. Formal tux, black tie affairs… Trips to the zoo to hang with Penguins or Zebras…. like to think it is the typewriter of choice for the men in black.
The Alba is to toy typewriters… the way Chihuahua’s are to toy dogs (they don’t act small).
This Alba is a toy… small… plastic… but its response is like a big old standard. It does not seem to know that it was meant to be played with and not used. I’ll keep the secret.
I always give a typewriter a second look…
My first impressions are often correct… but knowing I can be wrong I keep my mind open for changes in perspective. I find life more interesting that way.
