The first 25 years of my existence there was this Underwood… and when I use one similar to it memories rush in. It’s nice to visit the golden days but the future is yet to be typed.

I think despite being content with tthis machine, your quest to find your fathers underwood will continue. It just should at least

In this case I think not. Having the exact model is not important to me at all not for a typewriter. If I were to buy the first car I drove (my father’s) then it would have to be an exact match. The car meant a great deal to him… the typewriter was only a tool.
