As 2016 draws to an end… I reach that moment when I consider what next?

Visomatic kicks out woe brings in woo…
Sit down at a Visomatic, press down on a few keys and before you know it; your thoughts turn to happy things. Before you know it glad tidings rush into your head and grins grow like alfalfa in a field. Words rush to your finger tips and on to the page faster than light crosses the universe and time stands still for good and not evil. And the reason for owning a typewriter becomes clear… for the fun of it. You type because you can. And the keys to a typewriter unlocks the door of dull thoughts and in rushes the best of times and out goes the moods of woe…
Lets yell… but care!
Being able to disagree and work together is not a strange concept. Anyone who’s played in a band knows this to be true. You don’t need to like or even speak to the person next to you… just produce beautiful music together. Other wise you don’t keep the gig or get the loud applause.
I enjoy the type…
I am starting to think of email as the post card of today. What you wrote on a post card could be read by anybody. You just hope they enjoy it as much as you did writing it. If not… you did!
At a typewriter… you can type the world
You can go to Mars… climb any mountain… meet anyone every born. Just sit down at a keyboard and type it and it will be so!
The Fox No. 24, a sentimental favorite…
Not in the best of condition, my Fox 24 (1911) typewriter looks neat to me. It types and I like the results. Just need to get it out more and work on it… but I am happy just to press it keys.
Getting ready for 2017
I am looking forward to 2017 and plan on doing a lot of letter writing (snail mail) bike riding, picture taking, hiking and typing throughout the year.
December 7, 2016… memory!
I like to think that 75 years after the bombing of Pear Harbor… we as a nation would have a common memory of America. Then in a moment of respect be together as a county… silent together!
On a typewriter… Left or Right views… The words type the same!
Starting to settle down from the recent election. Reading conservative and liberal media comments has resulted in a large consumption of aspirin. I read about the same event… and come away believing two different events occurred.
At least my 105 year old Remington types the same words… all the time.
… a few pennies more!
To get my high school diploma I had to pass a test on the U.S. constitution. I would have failed the test if I said one amendment was more American than the other… which is how it seems when 2nd Amendment and 1st Amendment folks fight over what it means to be American. But hey that’s what the lst Amendment is for!
People who respect the flag “do not burn it”… A constitutional right does not mean condoning or respecting those who act under it. It just means if we believe in the Constitution and rulings of the supreme court; then there is a proper way to change the Constitution and it is not by talking at one another but by voting on it. Just recall that many voted for prohibition… and it had to be repealed. Think, talk, discuss, debate… Just saying!
