Good attracts good…

Picked up my bike, and the bike shop reduced my bill by 50%… I did not get upset that I had driven 84 miles and my bike was not ready.  I did not ask anything but they took on themselves to only charge for parts.  One of the reason’s I stay with them.  I did right by them, they did right by me.  (Passing thought, people think that by yelling and making demands gets results.  When I worked at a restaurant, a customer made a big deal about his dinner and wanted it done over…. it was a spaghetti dinner.  The head cook, dipped into a pot of steaming hot spaghetti sauce, poured it over the dinner and sent it back.  The customer was happy…)

Peace be still… Presidental remarks & love of Country

President Trump said today:

We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity.

When we open our hearts to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.

President Obama shook the hand of President Trump after these words were spoken, and I believe he said “good job”

President Trump swore on the Lincoln bible… a president who said: “With malice to none and charity for all.

I’ve written many Presidents, below is a reply I received today Jan 20.

 

The dream lingers…

I still hear that “Freedom’s bell” where all are equal and we march together strong and tall up that mountain of goodness and light.

I still see unity; love of character and peaceful disagreement as the way forward.

I still think its true: “We cannot walk alone” I still dream that dream…

Soft sounds still rebounds… “Free at last…” and I see a rainbow of smiling faces hand in hand and I awake…

1985 Presidental Speech sounds like 2017

I looked up a speech Ronald Reagan made in 1985… he talked about terrorism and lowering taxes.  His interactions with the press included comments about “deliberate misquote” and “fallacious”… he said opponents would filibuster… delay, put off and procrastinate.

“…lobbyists are out in force again; they’ve dug in around the Capitol building… trying to keep the special interest in and the people’s interest out.”

The only difference was that Reagan worked with and spoke to both Democrats and Republicans.

If its true it is not false… if its real it is not fake!

Seems like some want anything they feel not worth talking about to be called “fake”.  Which makes it harder to tell fact from fiction.  Worthless information if true is not “fake”… its just something to ignore.  Lets not make it harder to communicate by calling information “fake” if it is of little value or importance but still true. Let fake be false and “fake news” be only made up stuff.

I want to be able to talk to someone without the need of a “code book”.
