I just don’t get it… if I win a race why do I care if the loser cheated? After all if they cheat and lose… they must really be bad at what they do! Just saying…
I’ve taken a keen interest in what is being said these days… a lot of it does not make any sense at all.. Not even 1 cent…
Perhaps I’ve been around far too many kind and generous people… met too many who have lived through tough times and terrible hardships; but still maintained a positive and hopeful view of the world and others. They have left me with what appears to be a permanent worldview of hope…
It could have been 1967 or 8 when our family took a trip to Washington D.C.; we stopped at the office of a Conservative republican Senator Everest McKinley Dirksen… I was not that interested (I wanted to see the Lincoln Memorial); I could not understand why we needed to travel from Illinois to D.C. in the hopes of seeing someone from Illinois… Now 48 years later I understand!
The words look good to me… not that they say that much. I just like looking at the words on paper placed there by a 108 year old typewriter (even with a cracked frame). Serial #220078
I watched the President and President Elect sit down and speak of unity and doing good. This should have meant that supporters of both would follow that lead and build bridges. Instead one group wants one man to speak out against protesters and another group wants the other to speak out against those who celebrate by negative statements toward minorities.  Another objects to picking a Chief of Staff who might get along with congress to well and should pick someone who will be less friendly (and hints of “or else”.
This is not building a bridge toward understand and hope. A star said positive things (think O) and is called a “sell out”. It is hard to see the good in others or to find a common ground when actions that move toward unity are “spit on”.
The experts should stop saying why someone lost and explain how everyone can win if we give “understanding” a chance.
Ignore my thoughts… nothing will happen. I will still believe in this country regardless. Without hate or malice… I just seek understanding and I hope that is okay!
Its been awhile since I got out my Hammond… had to go to the internet to remind me on how it functions.  Its so great to look at… and fun to use!
The person I voted for did not win. The people of America made a choice. As such I will support that choice and uplift and not tear down our new President.
Doing what is right and good for our country is better than stall, obstruct and delay. Lets stand tall for America not sling mud at it.
I will not risk more decay in our country by name calling or character shaming… I will instead push back with insight, kindness and a strong belief that an already great nation can become better by being a leader of change for good…

More was on the ballot than President… in my state I got to weigh in on matters regarding education, farming, religion and beer and wine. Voting is more than who is at the top of the food chain; it is also about the places and issues closer to home.
Took a few generations but the time came… The Chicago Cubs win it all!!
The news can be good and bad. But no matter what the news you can see the greatness of a country when you look close at the people who support it.
