Who would have thought I would run across a Triumph-Adler GABRIELE 35 (that’s what the T-A stamped on her rear stands for) this side of the Ocean. Since her front was uncovered (the Adler name strip missing) she looked like a lost soul of little value. Not sure when she arrived in America… but she has a new life with Typeoh.
I thought for sure that my max bid of $5.00 would be beaten.
I recall “Labor Day” and staying up to all hours to watch Jerry Lewis and the MDA fund raiser… they have gone seperate ways. The show is down to 3 hours (I miss the longer version). Still it good that I have linked this time of year to giving and supporting of others.
There are moments when I go for a portable instead of my standard typewriters. Then I force myself to lift that load… and it’s always a good time and a good thing when I do.
I must have become a bicycle geek at some point. 15 years ago… my bike was matched. Tires/colors/compoents/ etc. Now it is a mixture of things (all quality I hope). But then I looked at the picture and doubt if most would notice or care. Yesterday it seem such a big deal all the different parts… finding a new front fender… they sell them in pairs and to get matching yellow more than I want to spend and I want to keep the yellow… so what goes with yellow but would cost less… leaving me with a spare rear… wow… its just about the ride anyway. Or should be.
Not really… I just wanted to use 8 instead of ate sometime.
