It’s interesting because my older colour Hermes 2000 seems to bring out the harsh side in me. I feel like I’m writing with a war machine. It’s partly the army green, but it also has to do with the sound it makes. So sharp and angry. I have a later 2000 just like yours, and it definitely has a different attitude compared to the older one!

Which just goes to show why I stick with typewriters that make me happy. Why keep a machine that takes away from one’s mood… when so many other’s can lift your mood like a weightlifter does bar bells.
