It looks nice… oh so pretty… but it may take a while for me to warm up to machine.

The 54 Studio 44… gets a workout….
One day of rest and things began to stick… so out on the desk and insert a page and type… type… type and the more I typed the better the flow. This 59 year old will work itself back into trim in no time at all.

The blog comes from Chicago (where I grew-up) so perhaps there is a connection (but that would depend on the answer to the following questions? Ton S: 1) Cubs or Sox? 2) Who played Oliver O. Oliver on Bozo Circus? 3) Paddle-foot was a character on what cartoon? And last and not least: Name the “King of the United States”
Any one of a certain age will know these answers without a thought. “Lets play two”… If you you can’t answer you are younger than I am and if you call the Cubs… Cubbies… then much younger.
Touchmaster Five for $5.00…
Based on the serial number I say this is from 1967 (it would have been nice if it were 1965. Then it would five for five from 65. Shopgoodwill does it again. I give to charity and charity gives me a great toy to play with.
Jumping the Shark… or just having fun?
There is that moment when a show runs out of fresh thoughts and ideals… they get desperate… they jump the shark! Has typeoh! Reached the point when the only thing to consider is the consideration of thought is so desperate I can only think of “Happy Days?”… (NOT!!)
I shift my typewriter focus…
Today I found a Underwood Touchmaster Five for $5.00… when I started the day I was looking at an Olivetti M40 for $198.00.
If the Olivetti was going for $40.00 I might have gone a different way. Things change… and I like to keep my change.
I try for a low key day…
Started out typing in all “lower caps” then switched to ALL CAPS… I thought I would just relax and do nothing… but nothing takes some effort.
Just should have gone with the flow and not tried to make my day “easy”. That would have been easier… and without trying I would have had my “low-key day”.
