I type for America

After mailing off 115 letters to members of congress using my computer… I’ve gotten back 1 meaningful response.  As a result I will switch to using my typewriter in the hopes that a “pitch” of civil interactions and debate will have more impact when the words were typed by a real human hand… (plus using a typewriter is more fun)!

Went for 30 decided to settle at 28… couldn’t… 31 miles in all.

I want to not feel bad if I can’t meet my goals.  I’m just not there yet.  I guess I just set my goals to low; since I can meet them if I try hard enough.  Perhaps if I had unrealistic expectations then it would not matter if I reach them.  One day I will be mature enough to look at things that way… just not there yet.

Hustle, Jazz, Duke & Rab…

It was jeep’s blues… the duke… Johnny Hodges… American Hustle… who would have thought it.  It was “Live from Newport” (1956) for a movie set in 1978.  I did get a little picky when they set the needle down on the record and Jeep’s Blues was the third song down on side B and not the first… but so what.  It was the Duke…
