2017 Bike Ride Across Iowa
For the 19th time I took to the road on my bicycle and rode across Iowa. Wonder, fun and joy came along each day.
A low key day on an all cap typewriter
My Underwood has its Western Union serial number WU5739R and I checked the number under the foot is 205320. I guessed 1909 based on design, but the serial number places it at 1908. For me 1908 is a great year for an Underwood.
Side trip to Roswell…
After leaving Monument Valley… I headed to Roswell, NM. I thought it would be a great place to watch the Presidential Debate.
Creating new memories… my visit to Monument Valley
At the Monument Valley Tribal Park, you can stay at the View (with great views) and eat at the restaurant (Navajo music plays in the background). You will leave with wonderful memories of a lifetime.

Took a trip to see in real life… what I have so often viewed in the reel life movies of John Ford. The hotel noted that over 50 movies have been filmed in Monument Valley…. of the movies listed I’ve seen 28 and recall some not mentioned.
