Being mature… does not mean not living!

When former President Bush celebrated his 90th birthday with a parachute jump I wondered how smart that was?  He can not walk but still likes jumping from planes.  Then it occurred to me that being “mature” does not mean “dead”.  Why not take “smart chances”… is it better to say “hey I’m 90 and in a wheel chair… better stop thinking about such things” or “why not!” At the end of the day you admire the man who decided to continue to dream such dreams and make them come true.

Somedays… you appreciate the internet.

I received a bargain book catalog in the mail… I decided to buy stuff like I did in the old days before the internet.  Bought a movie for $3.95… and if I had researched it online I would have known it wasn’t worth the $0.01 cent (plus $3.99 shipping it would have cost on Amazon).

Movie review: “Bite the Bullet”

If you liked the 1966 movie “The Professionals” take a look at  the 1975 movie “Bite the Bullet”.  Its about a 700 mile horse race and all through the movie people grow and mature and show good and bad sides of themselves.  They care about the horses but at the same time are cruel… and the big winners are not those who cross the finish line first.

The freedom to type… one letter at a time!

It’s great to have the ability to type and to express one’s view… all you need do is press some keys and words appear.  And if the letters are put together in a nice way and in a good way then you can have “peace of mind”, “love in your heart” all kinds of thoughts that relax and engage.  Just by putting letters together one at a time.

Extra sheet of paper… and the Remington Noiseless makes a great impression!

I added a fourth sheet of paper to my Remington Standard (Noiseless) and it turned the output from okay to great.  Made my day. Until I noticed all the letters transposed… can’t have everything!

Went for 30 decided to settle at 28… couldn’t… 31 miles in all.

I want to not feel bad if I can’t meet my goals.  I’m just not there yet.  I guess I just set my goals to low; since I can meet them if I try hard enough.  Perhaps if I had unrealistic expectations then it would not matter if I reach them.  One day I will be mature enough to look at things that way… just not there yet.
