Some days are just words on a page…

As much as one may hope and wish that every moment is one of wonder and joy… some days are just days that time did its thing and moved on.

Only in retrospect can one understand that all days are special and with 20 20 vision appreciate that ordinary moments…  many will wish for and some with never have again.

Each day is worth the simple celebration for being a part of it.

Contrasts in type…

TV had a documentary on Facing Ali (2009) the contrast between the fighters in their prime and today was quite dramatic.  I believe all concerned would be under 70 years old and for some the toll has been high… yet they all come across proud of their achievements and do not complain about the price paid.  Which in the end is a great example of how to live a life.

I discover ETCetera is fun, funny and a great read…

Three years ago I went to the Etcetera (Newsletter for the Early Typewriter Collectors Association) and found it full of information.  Now I find it a to be a great read; full of humor and interesting things to do.

Some how I missed out on Ed Peters comment in issue 1 (Oct 1987) regarding when to be choosy: “If I had heeded my own advice, I never would have accumulated a basement full of common Remingtons, Underwoods, L.C. Smiths and the like- some of them so bad that only a mother could love them…”

Or issue 2 (Jan 1988) “Sitting on your hands and enjoying your “secret collection” is kind of like scoring a hole-in-one when you’re playing alone.”

Just goes to show how one’s views change with time and knowledge.  (I just sent off my check to subscribe…
