Sometimes the public buys for the right reason… the Royal 10 is a wonderful, well built machine. Not rare or uncommon but good! (GREAT!!)

I find the old Underwood typewriters very hard to beat. They just plain keep on working and have a neat snappiness and great touch others cannot come close to. Even speed of an Underwood is hard to beat except for the carriage return. I have some Adler J4s that are absolutly frictionless when returning the carriage. My oldest Royal is an HH and even though they are of excellent quality and I enjoy using them they are left in the dust compared to my Underwood SS.

Bill:
I have more Underwood’s than any other typewriter. They are my standard against which I judge all other machines.
