The Claud Butler is ready to return to Iowa after almost 10 years. I crossed the state four times on this bike; then a storm tossed it across a field. I put it into semi-retirement after that. But when you put over 5,000 miles on a bike you think…. why not another 1,000 and after this years ride across Iowa I will pass the 6,000 mile mark of use.
Leaky bike tires are a real pain. It is hard to find good tires and tubes where I live — all Chinese junk. I used to us Nokia and Staubli, both of which are now part of other companies and the tires and tubes are not as good.
