I’m with you Gee. I can see how they wouldn’t measure up to some of their contemporaries, but a K2 has a special beauty and I’ll gladly type out page after page on mine.
I had a chance to use two Everest K2s myself, and although I hated the feel of one of them, I enjoyed using the other. It wasn’t a top performer, but it was fun and I could type on it for a while and enjoy it. (Sadly it was too expensive for me at the time) I don’t think they deserve the reputation some give them!

At the end of the day it’s just about fun. The companies are long gone… any typewriter left that works and is used… deserves all the love and attention it can get. Even if it is just for making it to this modern world. Which is saying a lot.
