Such a very astute observation about the mood, concentration, and energy of the typist. I’ve noticed such differences in my typecasts–the latest one being far more focused than some have been.
All time top 10 movie. My strongest memory, apart from Rushmore, is the incongruity of wearing a dark business suit in the middle nowhere. But like you say, Cary Grant could get away with it without looking silly.

Being from Illinois… I know that Lake Shore Drive becomes Highway 41 when it goes into Indiana… so I use to think I knew where the bus let him off.
