Staying on focus…

Once you needed focus just to watch TV… no tape; no disc; no stream to rewind and play a section over.  No internet to review the show on… just your one shot as it played (and perhaps months later a re-run)…  I was watching “Empire” and found myself reaching for the remote before I remembered it was playing real time.  Back in the day… I would give my complete attention to a show; now I can count on instant replay in some form or another.

Just looking to laugh…

I hear folks are upset about the new Muppet show… questions about how to explain the relationship between a frog and a pig… a question I am sure was big on our minds in the 70’s!  Or back to the 60’s… that moose and squirrel,  or that dog Peabody and his “boy” Sherman… as a kid I did not care!  I only wanted to laugh… How did we become so serious!

3 years 6 months, 748 posts and 1 million hits …

Today TypeOH! received its 1 millionth hit…   I did not expect to reach it today but did.  In fact I did not expect to reach one million ever!  Yet I have… using a 107 year old Underwood with a backspace lever!

The counter I added 3 years ago showed 1,000,169 when I looked this morning.

Baseball was once a game…

I use to play “one on one” baseball with my older brother…. the problem with the sport is people forgot all you need to play is something to toss and something to hit it with…  you do not need gloves (hands work, hats)… you do not need a bat (sticks, pipes work)… you do not need special shoes (or shoes at all) and a baseball (heck… if it could be thrown… someone would swing at it).
