“Are you a true American?” Ugh! Things are getting even worse. But we must have faith that decency and truth will prevail in the long run.

On the same day I posted, I received a call from D.C., the office of my Senator wanted to let me know that my letter had been read. I also mentioned the bike ride and perhaps it was a blessing to point out the impact of interactions that divide instead of celebrate. The people on the ride asked a “odd” question… but my response and manner did not increase tension it just increased conversation. That is a good thing… how one responds can lead to good.
Heh, I’d vote to keep ya on the island 😀
