I agree, nothing types as nice as an Underwood. Smith-Corona and Royal are nice. Remington can be ok, Olympia are slow, and the list goes on.

Since my first experiences was with Underwood’s, it just seems by default to have become my machine of choice.
A good condition well adjusted Underwood 5 will type like a dream.
One of my favorites along with my LC Smith Super Speed, Remington Standard 7 and Smith Premier 2.
