Grand Canyon Plan B

There was a time I enjoyed calling the same number over and over again… after all I would get concert tickets… good seats at the ball game etc.  At age 60… this seemed a silly way to spend the day.

  1. Warning: We planned to camp in the Grand Canyon in mid-October last year and the forecast went down to the upper twenties and it snowed…we ended up in a cheap motel an hour away! I’ve camped in the Tetons when it webpnt down to the mid-30’s every night and did okay–but it quickly warmed back into the sunny upper 60’s during the day.
On the other hand, the week last year spent camping in the Moab region of Utah–before we headed to AZ–was absolutely perfect! It’s the elevation at the Grand Canyon that makes it surprisingly nippy.
