On TV they showed the 1961 movie Pocketful of Miracles. At the Library they had “Lady for the a Day” both directed by Frank Capra. I enjoyed the old one best of all.

According to my research on typeface sizes, Hermes elite typefaces are the smallest of all elites. It’s a fun contrast when a very small typewriter has a large typeface, or when it’s the reverse like here.

It is a contrast that I can’t seem to believe is true. Each time I get out this standard typewriter I keep expecting the text to be larger and I know better.
