Smith Premier 10 (1910)… looked liked scrap… but it works.
When I saw the pictures I thought it was something to use for parts.  It was priced as such.  But it works…
Ugly but nice… 1910 Smith Premier

Works pretty well! I understand you have to remove the carriage on these to install a new ribbon?
I’ve had a couple of these in the past — back in the ’90s — but ended up selling both of them. I am holding out for one in pristine condition. Someday …

Yes you do have to remove the carriage which is very easy it just slips out. I was only able to get one of the spools to slip off with ease. So I had to run the ribbon and grab it from the front and pull it under and into the back of the machine then attach it to the empty spool.
