One of the sheer joys of owning a Hermes 8 are the things you can put on its shelf. I find myself going to the Hermes just to place a picture on it that I can type to.
The 1959 Hermes 8 is a great multi-tasker… typewriter and picture holder.

Ha ha ha. Never thought of a Hermes 8 as a frame-holder. Man… that machine is MASSIVE.

One of the extra benefits is the amount of car driving I no longer do. I bike to the store more often than I drive.

Big yes… but a very light machine for its size… about 1/3 the weight of a full size typewriter.
