Ah! The Empire Aristocrat? I have two of them. And just for reference, they’re not a clone – they were a licensed product, that actually has a very interesting history, as how it came about.
I agree with Scott, the Aristograt, while sharing a great many mechanical details with the Hermes, is not an exact clone. Take the shell off, and you’ll notice that a few of the mechanisms are oddly a mirror image of the Hermes internals. (ribbon vibrator is the most obvious one)
They are nice machines, though. I gave mine a tripod mount 😀
