As things re-open…

Last week the movie theater started showing movies again… all were old releases. This week one of the 6 movies being shown was made in 2020 the other five go back as far as 2009. The local JC Penney will not reopen… except to sale what’s left. The bowing alley has restarted the leagues (although I wasn’t fully ready to fist bump every time someone picked up a spare or had a strike). I may even go for a hair cut.

In my yard I saw this big hawk sized bird… but when I got my camera I was left with a squirrel to aim at. Such is the way things are you get what you can…

Butterfly… housefly… thoughts

I was thinking about a housefly… which brought images of the Wizard of OZ (but that house fell). That lead to the image of a butterfly; then just butter… but butter that flies. Just letting thoughts flow and link from one to another is a pleasant way to pass time. Much better than thinking why the mood of elections to come; seek positive results by the use of negative… But then I imagine “when pigs fly” and that elephant with the big ears… I look up and know there are better views to seek.

New vision for 2020

Entering my 64th year, I found I need to decide if 2020 would be a year to view as life left to fill-up…. or life just left to fill. I find myself thinking to overflowing my cup… as long as I look at things with 2020 insight.

Years ago at a bowling alley a man was bragging about how well he knew the owner of the lanes; in fact he was was using the owner’s ball. He then picked up the generic house ball that everyone at the lane had access to. It is good to see things as they are…

1903 Underwood 4 thoughts…

After using the 1901 Underwood 5, I went to my 1903 Underwood 4 and found that my inner bias preferred the older machine without rational thought. My mind said the 118 year old looked better and was more fun. My realistic self said the 116 year old typed better and looked fine. And with such a fine 116 year old working typewriter; why did I find excuses to purchase the 118 year old? No good reason at all… except I could!
